Every Moonland tailoring piece is made by hand in our own tailor house in Ningbo, China. Each garment requires hours, sometimes days, of focused work from cutting to finishing. Rather than redefining, we are simply revealing what "Made in China" has always meant.
For decades, “Made in China” was associated with mass production. But that has never been the whole story. Long before the world spoke of craftsmanship, China had already built a legacy of making. In silk, in embroidery, in weaving and dyeing, in the patience of a needle guided by hand.

The scale of manufacturing often obscured this refinement, but it never erased it. It remains present in workshops like ours, in the discipline of daily practice, and in an understanding of quality that does not need to be announced.
Our Ningbo tailor house stands within one of the world’s most developed suit making regions. Nearby are mills producing superfine silk and ramie, button workshops carving by hand, and dye houses where traditional plant colors meet precise modern control. This complete supply chain grounds and supports our work.
Made in China, Moonland naturally carries a distinct cultural temperament, the poeticality. It lives in the colors, patterns and textures we choose, in the subtle balance between movement and stillness we pursue. This sense of poetic guides how we design, cut, sew and finish. Hence the Ripple Blouse rippling like a lake surface, the Corduroy Workwear Jacket with a yellow tone like early autumn, and many more.
And every curve and seam seeks harmony rather than display, expressing beauty through proportion and silence instead of excess. The shoulders are shaped to grant the wearer the composure of a pine, upright and serene. The long coat falls with a deeper drape, so it moves with the free spirit of the wind, yet measured and calm.

To wear Moonland is to encounter a lineage of craft shaped by skill, time and care. That is why we proudly name the origin of our garments. We specify the cities that give our work its soul.
Our design takes place in Chengdu, the inland capital of ease and poetry, where our garments find their calm and warmth amid a city of food, scenery, and unhurried grace. Crafting happens in Ningbo, a coastal city south of Shanghai, renown as the birthplace of China’s finest suit-making tradition.

These cities shape both our work and spirit, each carrying its long history and its own rhythm of life. Together, they form the living fabric of what Made in China truly means to us.
