About Us
Moonland, pronounced Mùlán (木蘭) in Mandarin, reflects our approach. The moon speaks to calm elegance. The land stands for steady craft in our own tailor house. In Chinese, Mùlán is the magnolia, a symbol of dignity and resolve, and it also recalls Hua Mulan, a courageous woman warrior from classic stories.
Our designer, Dahai, is not only a devoted suit lover but also a trained artist and clothing designer. After years of hands-on experience in Hong Kong’s bespoke industry, she founded Moonland in 2015 in her hometown of Chengdu, a city celebrated for its laid-back vibe and artistic depth. The house began with modernized classic menswear, with a focus on tailored suits and jackets. As demand grew, Dahai introduced womenswear with the same clarity of line and ease of wear, without imitating men’s tailoring. What followed is a house dedicated to refined clothing that feels natural on the body and confident in spirit.

Clothes should empower rather than instruct. We design calm, considered silhouettes that move with the body, with structure where it serves and ease where it matters. Each piece begins with Dahai’s pattern work and ends in the hands of our tailoring team with care and accountability.
All garments are crafted in our own tailor house in Ningbo by a close community of experienced tailors. One tailor takes responsibility for each piece from A to Z, creating coherence in construction and pride in result. We avoid mass production. Instead, we release a focused selection each season, and keep a permanent collection open to customization. We are also one of the few dedicated in both men and women's made-to-measure services at an accessible level.

Materials are chosen with intention. We source natural fabrics mostly from well-known fabric mills in Europe and Japan, and collaborate with trusted Chinese suppliers for yarns, silk and ramie. After delivery, we provide adjustments and repairs to extend the life of what we make.
This is Moonland. Clothing that accompanies you, holds your stories, and earns its place over time.
